FOX 8 News received the following press release from DOTD late Sunday night:
Metairie, La. - The left lane of I-10 westbound, between Clearview Parkway and Transcontinental Drive, will remain closed until approximately 12 midnight as construction crews continue preliminary efforts needed to implement contraflow should the order be given. A contraflow order has not been issued and the work underway is an initial step needed to ready I-10 for contraflow should the threat from Hurricane Isaac warrant such an order.
In addition, closure of the left lane of I-10 eastbound, between Transcontinental Drive and Clearview Parkway, will begin at 12 midnight and continue until approximately 4 a.m....
