PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO CLOSE MONDAY THROUGH Thursday
Students should not report for class Monday, Aug. 27 to Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the following charter schools in Orleans Parish:

New Orleans Charter Science and Math High (Sci High)

All KIPP schools in New Orleans will be closed Monday through Wednesday, August 27-29. Families can call the KIPP storm hotline at 504-708-5330 or check www.kippneworleans.org to receive more information about KIPP school closures and openings.
Catholic schools in Orleans Parish have also announced plans to remain closed through Wednesday.
New Orleans College Prep schools (Cohen College Prep and Sylvanie Williams College Prep) will be closed Monday – Wednesday.
Greater News Orleans Christian Academy will be closed from Monday, August 27 - Wednesday, August 29. School will resume on Thursday, August 30.
Milestone SABIS Academy of New Orleans will close August 27th - August 29th.
Bright Minds Academy closed Monday through Wednesday.
First Academy Early Learning Center closed Monday through Wednesday.
The New Orleans Adventist Academy will be closed on Monday August 27, 2012.
Lycee Srancais de la Nouvelle-Orleans school will be closed Monday-Wednesday.
The Jefferson Parish Public School System announced that it will close all schools tomorrow, Monday, August 27, 2012, through Wednesday, August 29, 2012 due to the anticipated impact of Tropical Storm Isaac. This closure includes the closure of the central office.
Jefferson Parish Catholic schools will be closed Monday through Wednesday of this week.
The St. Bernard Parish Public Schools will be closed Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29... "All principals, custodians, and maintenance staff member are asked to report Monday morning to secure school buildings for possible storm winds," reads a news release from St. Bernard Parish.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse will be closed tomorrow. Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chalmette will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Lafourche Parish Public Schools will close Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29.
All Terrebonne Parish public schools will be closed on Monday and the Terrebonne Parish School Board will notify the public of school closures going forward. Administrative buildings will also be closed. Employees do not need to report to work.
Schools in St. Charles Parish have been canceled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
All St. John the Baptist Parish public, private, and parochial schools are closed until further notice.
All Plaquemines Parish Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, and Wednesday (August 27-29).
St. Tammany Parish Catholic schools will close on Tuesday along with public schools. Catholic schools are following the closure and reentry schedules of the civil parish public school systems.
All Tangipahoa Parish schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28 and 29 due to Tropical Storm Isaac. All after-school activities scheduled for today, tomorrow, and Wednesday have been cancelled. The School System Emergency and Weather Hotline (985-748-2450 or 1-877-432-1490) will have updated information as it becomes available.

The University of New Orleans will have classes as usual tomorrow, August 27. However students, faculty and staff should await further announcements from the University about the schedule for the rest of the week.
