Thibodaux police were able to take a bite out of crime.

Jarell Combre, 21, and Darnell Cooper, 32, were both arrested after one of the men allegedly lifted Ding Dong snack cakes from a business Thursday afternoon.

Police say Combre was riding in a delivery truck with Cooper Thursday afternoon.  During a stop, Combre allegedly stole the Ding Dongs from a business in the 200 block of North Canal Blvd. in Thibodaux.

When police caught up with the pair, Cooper, who was driving the truck, told police he had just met Combre, according to investigators.  However, police say they found marijuana on Combre and inside Cooper's delivery truck.

Combre and Cooper were arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.  They were charged with both booked on drug possession charges.  Cambre was also booked with theft of goods.

They are being held in lieu of bond.
