Metairie, La. - The Saints announced Saturday that they had claimed safety Rafael Bush off of waivers and waived safety Jonathan Amaya.

Bush will wear jersey number 25 meaning fans should be grabbing their old Reggie Bush jerseys out of the back of the closet.  Although the jersey does not have an 'R' for Bush's first name initial, Rafael and Reggie also share that commonality.

Adding to the coincidence is the fact that Rafael replaces Jonathan Amaya, who was acquired from the Dolphins in the Reggie trade, along with an undisclosed draft pick.

Rafael is entering his third season in the league after spending most of his rookie season on Atlanta's practice squad before being signed to the active roster for their regular season finale and playoff game.  After spending the first half of the 2011 season on their practice roster, Bush was signed to the active roster of the Broncos, where he appeared in six games and recorded three special teams tackles.

Today's work was much lighter between the Saints and Chargers was much lighter. They wore no pads only shells and helmets, and they only practiced two hours instead of two and a half like Thursday. While they certainly weren't perfect, overall the Saints had much better execution today than Thursday.  "I thought overall it was a little bit crisper today than yesterday.
