Saints step up to help East St. John football players

Reserve, La. - The New Orleans Saints have stepped up to help high school football players in heavily flooded St. John Parish.

Members of the Saints youth programs department delivered football equipment to players and coaches from East St. John High Tuesday night.

The school's football program suffered extensive losses from hurricane Isaac and didn't have the equipment they needed to compete in their season opener Friday night.

The team is currently practicing at Destrehan High School because of damage at East St. John High.
