New Orleans, La. - Sean Payton won't be in the Superdome Sunday, but a banner flying above it will be a reminder of just how much he's missed.
A plane will circle around New Orleans displaying a "Free Sean Payton" banner ahead of the Saints season opener.
Payton supporters started the aerial campaign in August and hope to keep it flying until Payton's suspension is lifted.
Wednesday night, the plane flew over New York City for the kickoff to the NFL season. It circled the Statue of Liberty and flew over pre-game festivities for the Cowboys and Giants game.
The man behind the movement, Phil Marshall, recently told Fox 8, each flight is about $2,500 and Who Dats have been donating money.
