Baton Rouge, La. - LSU fell behind the Washington Huskies within the first minute of the Pac 12-SEC clash after Odell Beckham, Jr. fumbled the opening kickoff but the Tigers rattled off 41 straight to win easily.

It was another heavy rushing attack on offense, led by Alfred Blue's second straight 100-yard game, while Kenny Hilliard added two touchdowns on the ground.  Unlike the North Texas game, Spencer Ware got to tote the rock and did well, totaling nine touches for 45 yards and also attempted a pass in the third quarter, but it fell incomplete.

Through the air, Zach Mettenberger had another modest performance, completing 12 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown.  Of his six completions, most were dropped passes, including what would have been a touchdown pass to Russell Shepard in the second quarter.  LSU had more players with rushing attempts than pass receptions.

On defense, the Tigers started by frustrating the Huskies' ground attack, only allowing a yard per rush on 24 attempts.  Quarterback Keith Price completed 17 of his 36 pass attempts for 157 yards and threw one interception to true freshman Jalen Mills.

All in all, coach Les Miles was very happy with his Tigers who tied a Tiger Stadium record with their 20th straight home victory "I think that defense plays with an intensity.  The pass rush was very evident tonight.  I think our tackling was crisp.  It was what we needed to have happen.  That's a defensive front that played very well.  Offensively, we're showing more balance as we should.  Our quarterback played very well, he was very on the money."
