Audit suggests GOHSEP needs to make improvements

Baton Rouge, La. - A new state audit suggests the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness needs to make improvements.

The audit finds the office did come back with sufficient documentation for more than $10 million in spending, after more than $12 million in spending was identified as not sufficiently supported.

It also finds the office has project overrun costs totaling more than $26 million.
