Demolition crews work at Hubig's Pies site

New Orleans, La. - Demolition crews carefully sorted through the charred remnants of a New Orleans icon.

The 90-year-old Hubig's Pies building burned down about six weeks ago.

Monday, crews with Demo Diva removed some of the pie making equipment that the owners are trying to save, like racks, ovens, and mixers.

The owners are working with the city and the historic commission on a new design plan for the Marigny bakery.

Demo Diva says the owners plan to salvage all the wall bricks and use them to construct the new plant.
