Belle Chasse, La. - A Plaquemines Parish judge issued an arrest warrant for a man who is the subject of two investigations following reports by the FOX 8 Defenders.
The Plaquemines Parish District Attorney tells FOX 8, Cornelius Washington failed to appear in court for arraignment Monday.
Washington bonded out of jail in August after his arrest for theft from an elderly person.
A FOX 8 Defenders report in July revealed Washington and Southern Storm Products allegedly look several thousand dollars from at least one homeowner in Belle Chasse eight months ago.
The homeowner says she hired Washington to install storm screens, but he never showed up to do the work.
St. Bernard Parish investigators opened a fraud investigation of Washington as well after FOX 8 detailed two similar complaints in Violet.
