Job Description

WVUE-TV, Fox 8, in New Orleans seeks a full-time Broadcast Maintenance Engineer with experience maintaining technical equipment in a television broadcast facility. The successful candidate will have maintenance and repair experience in all facets of broadcast operations including studio, news, transmitter, fiber optic, and IT systems.

A successful candidate will have the skills necessary to:

• Assist Operations Staff with solutions to technical problems

• Make decisions quickly under pressure

• Manage multiple projects and tasks

• Work a flexible work schedule

• Work in a team oriented environment

• Communicate with non-technical personnel to resolve equipment issues

• Communicate effectively; both in writing and in person.

• Learn new broadcast technologies and increase knowledge of existing systems

• Have a good understanding of system design and be able to follow signal flow drawings
