BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Two Louisiana National Guard units that recently returned from action overseas will be honored at halftime of Saturday's game between LSU and Idaho at Tiger Stadium.
Members of the Louisiana National Guard's 415th Military Intelligence Battalion and 239th Military Police Company headquartered in Carville will attend the game courtesy of the Tiger Athletic Foundation. The units will assemble on the field at halftime after the performance of the Tiger Marching Band.
The soldiers recently returned from combat operations in support of Operation New Dawn Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan, and have recently been conducting operations in support of Hurricane Isaac recovery efforts.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
