Burn victim from meth lab fire arrested

Patrick Servat, 27 Patrick Servat, 27

Walker, La. - A 27-year-old man, hospitalized for burns he reportedly suffered in a meth lab fire is now facing drug charges. Patrick Servat was rushed to the hospital on Monday suffering with burns following a fire that destroyed his one-bedroom apartment at 13540 Carpenter Lane in Walker. When detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office began sifting through the rubble, they found several items of interest that led them to determine that methamphetamine was being manufactured there.

Detectives then interviewed Servat and other people who were at the apartment at the time. Those interviews reportedly revealed that something went wrong with the 'cook', setting off the fire.

Once Servat was released from the hospital three days later, he was arrested with the manufacture of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $100,000. Livingston detectives say Servat already has other meth-related charges pending. Other arrests in this case are expected.
