New Orleans, La. - An upper level low is moving through the area Monday producing a large amount of rainfall.
Fox 8 Meteorologist Dawn Brown says residents can expect intermittent rain showers throughout the morning and heavier rain Monday afternoon.
Anywhere from a 1/2-2 inches of rain is expected to fall across the area in the next 24 hours.
"A cold front will slice through the region late Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing cooler and drier air into the region for the rest of the week," says Brown.
