Jefferson, La. - A memorial fund has been set up to help the family of a child who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Jefferson.
The collision happened Tuesday night near the intersection of Jefferson Highway and Newman Avenue. State troopers say Steshondia Stackhouse hit five-year-old Jason Bauer and failed to stop at the scene. They also say witnesses help them find her.
Stackhouse faces charges of hit-and-run and driving without a license.
If you'd like to help Bauer's family with funeral expenses, a memorial fund has been setup at Capital One Bank.
