St. Tammany Parish, La. -
Deputies are investigating an apparent murder and suicide Friday in the Tammany Hills area, south of Covington.
The St. Tammany Coroner's Office reports the deceased are 42-year-old Caroline Darby her husband, 46-year-old Adrian Darby.
The St. Tammany Sheriff's Office released this statement on its Facebook page Saturday:
Covington – Deputies were called to a Covington area residence where they found two bodies inside the home. A male and female in their mid 40's were located inside a bedroom in the home.
At approximately 10:45 PM, September 21st, Deputies were called to the residence at 70372 A St, located in the Tammany Hills area south of ...Covington. The Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting that two people were injured and possibly deceased inside the home. Deputies arrived on scene and found the bodies of a black male in his mid 40's and a black female in her mid 40's.
Detectives and Crime Scene personnel from the Sheriff's Office arrived on scene and began processing the evidence. Dr. Galvan's staff from the Coroner's Office was notified and took possession of the bodies. There are signs of foul play and there are initial indications of a potential murder/suicide. Dr. Galvan's Office will determine the manner and cause of death... More information will be forthcoming as it develops.
The coroner's office says autopsies will be performed Monday morning.
