Insurance fraud seminar set in October

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Insurance and Louisiana Automobile Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority are planning a conference Oct. 17.

The gathering of local and national insurance industry experts will focus on industry trends, techniques and technological advances in the prevention of insurance fraud and vehicle theft.

Joseph Wehrle, president of the National Insurance Crime Bureau, will be the keynote speaker.

The conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge and will begin at 7:30 a.m.
