Suspect wanted in rash of bank robberies

New Orleans, La. - The FBI is asking for public assistance in identifying a man wanted in a rash of bank robberies.  Investigators say the hold-ups took place in a one week span between September 14th and September 24th.

The suspect walked into banks in Alexandria, Broussard, Lafayette, and Opelousas, Louisiana. The FBI says in each instance, the man produced a note indicating he had a weapon and demanded money from the tellers. Although the individual did not produce a weapon in any of the incidents, the FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50-60 years of age, approximately 6'2" - 6'4" tall, weighing 240 - 260 lbs. He was observed driving a two- toned 2004-2008 Ford F-250 with tan paint and a black line at the bottom.

Anyone with information can help identify him are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS, or FBI New Orleans at 504-816-3000.
