Austin, TX -- It's been a crazy week for the NFL, following a controversial call at the end of Monday's Packers-Seahawks game.
Wayne Elliot is the referee who called a touchdown for Seattle's final hail Mary play, allowing them to win the game. Unfortunately, not everyone sees the catch the way it was called after an official review.
"The right call was made as far as the simultaneous catch is concerned," said Wayne Elliot, NFL replacement referee.
"There may have been an offensive pass interference involved. But a simultaneous catch is a simultaneous catch," Elliot said.
The Seahawks beat the Packers 14-12. Elliot said he sees no need to apologize to Green Bay fans about the call.
"It's a football game. If that call had been the other way, you'd be asking me if I needed to apologize to the fans of Seattle. So, I don't think so," Elliot said
