Rain chances increase throughout weekend

New Orleans, La.- A slow moving cold front will approach the area late Saturday increasing rain chances during the day.

In addition an upper level low is developing over west Texas.  Plus, moisture is also heading our way in the mid levels from the remnants of a Pacific tropical system.

"This all comes together to make for a wet Saturday and even wetter Sunday," says Fox 8 Meteorologist Nicondra Norwood, " We can expect as much as 4-6 inches of rain over the weekend around the area."

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s due to little cloud cover with the high moisture content keeping lows in 70s.

Some locations have already received two inches of rain Friday afternoon as moisture returned and high pressure broke down allowing sea breeze and lake breeze influences back into the mix.
