Kenner man killed in Metairie crash

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - A 38-year-old Kenner man died a three-car wreck on Airline Drive in Metairie.

State police say Joseph Spunizo was pronounced dead at the scene early Monday morning.

Trooper Melissa Matey says Spunizo was northbound when his pickup crossed the median, hit two vehicles and flipped over near the Jefferson-Orleans parish line.

Matey says 24-year-old Nicole Bonneval, the driver of one of the vehicles hit by the truck, received minor injuries in the crash, but she was not taken to a hospital. The third driver was not injured.

Troopers say Spunizo was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
