GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 34-year-old Gulfport man has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of another man.
Police tell The Sun Herald William Cameron Sumrall is being held at the Harrison County jail on a $1 million bond by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
Deputies responded to a call around 3 a.m. Sunday and found 23-year-old Ricardo Zayas in the driver's seat of a vehicle.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says Zayas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say an investigation determined that Zayas and Sumrall had an altercation in a different location from where the victim was found. Zayas drove to his girlfriend's home before he died.
