Murder victim had been displaced by Hurricane Isaac

Metairie, La. - Jefferson Parish investigators have determined that a man found dead in a Metairie hotel room Friday was murdered.

The Jefferson Parish Coroner's office says 41-year-old King Honore was strangled.

Investigators say Honore had been displaced from his home in LaPlace by Hurricane Isaac. He had been staying in the La Quinta Inn.

A housekeeper at the hotel discovered his body Friday afternoon.
