Sentencing delayed for Aaron Bennett in federal bribery case

New Orleans, La. - Sentencing is delayed in federal court for Aaron Bennett, who pleaded guilty in a bribery scheme involving former Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Jiff Hingle.

Bennett, a former government contractor, was originally scheduled to be sentenced October 31. That sentencing is now set for March 6.

In the past, Bennett has been mentioned as a potential witness in the government's investigation of former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
