CNN - Doctors want coffee lovers to rethink how many cups they drink a day.

Researchers have discovered your risk of getting a certain type of glaucoma goes up 66 percent, if you drink more than three cups of coffee a day. The type of glaucoma is called exfoliation glaucoma.

Researchers are not convinced the caffeine in coffee is the problem because the glaucoma risk was not found in study participants who drank other caffeinated beverages.

You can read more about the study in the October 3 issue of Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
