FOX 8 News has received several advisories Monday evening about school closures, due to the boil water alert now in effect across the east bank of Orleans Parish.
Here's a list compiled late Monday evening; we'll update this list as more information comes in. If your child's school is not listed here, please contact school officials directly for information:
OPSB direct-run schools that will be closed include Mahalia Jackson Elementary School, McMain High School, Ben Franklin Elementary School, Bethune Elementary School and McDonogh 35 High School.
Andrew Wilson Charter School and McMillan Head Start Center (staff should report at 9am for a regular work day)
Audubon Charter School
Benjamin Franklin High School (staff should report at 7:45 for a regular work day)
Einstein Charter School
Hynes Charter School (staff should report at 7:45 for a regular work day)
International School of Louisiana (Camp Street Uptown Campus ONLY-staff should report at 7:45 for a regular work day)
Lusher Charter School (JCC Campus closed-all other campuses on Fall Break)
James M. Singleton Charter School -- closed for faculty and staff
Capital One-New Beginnings Charter Network will not hold classes Tuesday, though faculty and staff are expected to report to work.
Dr. King Charter School
Joseph A. Craig Elementary Charter School (staff should report for regular work day)
