Raleigh, N.C. - Fast food isn't as fast as it used to be.

According to researchers with fast food tracker QSR magazine, drive-thru times are getting longer because fast food menus are getting more complicated.

They think the menus are getting more complicated because fast food joints are working to compete with casual dining restaurants like Panera Bread and Five Guys.

On average, people are spending about 10 more seconds getting their orders compared to last year.

Burger King had the slowest drive-thru in the QSR findings, while Wendy's was fastest.
