Carolyn Scofield grew up in Florida but is now happy to call Louisiana home.
Carolyn fell in love with New Orleans during her first visit to the city in 2008. She came back on vacation many times and was thrilled to become a part of FOX 8's news team in 2011.
After graduating from the University of Florida, Carolyn went home to Panama City to report for WMBB. She continued on to Central Florida News 13 in Orlando before heading back to the beach as a reporter for WPTV in West Palm Beach.
During her time in Florida, Carolyn covered major stories including hurricanes, shuttle launches, the oil spill and the Casey Anthony Trial.
Carolyn is now the Bayou Bureau Chief for FOX 8, covering Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes. Every day on the bayou brings a new adventure.
In her spare time, Carolyn likes to explore her new home state, swim and occasionally play the flute. She's also on the board for the ALS Association of Louisiana and Mississippi, an organization close to her heart. Her dad lost his battle with the disease in 2010.
