Police arrest LSU student for shooting at her mother


Baton Rouge, La - LSU Police, assisting the New Orleans Police Department, arrested an LSU student after she fired several shots at her mother. Nicole Lea Boover, 19, was taken into custody on Tuesday by LSU Campus Police. Authorities received a call from Boover's step-father claiming that Boover fired the shots at her mother at her home in New Orleans. Boover has been charged with attempted 1st degree murder.

Police say that arresting officers also found marijuana in Boover's car.

As police continued their investigation, they were able to obtain make a second arrest related to this case. Nathan Andrew Yuhas was arrested on LSU's campus on October 9th for principal to attempted 1st degree murder. Yuhas was detained by police as they arrested Boover. LSU Police interviewed Yuhas and shared his information with the NOPD. Based on that information, the NOPD was able to obtain an arrest warrant for Yuhas.
