Belle Chasse man convicted of child sex crimes sentenced

Plaquemines Parish, La. - A judge has sentenced a Belle Chasse man convicted of child sex crimes that the district attorney calls heinous.

Edward Barousse, Jr. was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years of hard labor. The judge also ordered him to register as a sex offender for life.

Last year, investigators said Barousse gave alcohol to kids who visited his house, then showed them pornographic movies, condoms, and sex toys.

In March, Barousse pleaded guilty to four counts of pornography involving juveniles and four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
