Orlando, Fla.- People have their bucket lists of the things they really want to do before they die. Now a woman in Orlando is checking items off her dog's bucket list.
Conrad, a Labrador Retriever therapy dog, spent many of his days visiting patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Now, Conrad is fighting his own cancer diagnosis.
His owner, Amy Morton, decided to make a list and give Conrad as many good experiences as possible, while they still can. She says since he loved to go to the lake and watch the fish, she thought he'd enjoy a trip to Seaworld.
Conrad got the V.I.P. treatment at a dolphin show and even had the chance for a one-on-one meeting with Marble, one of the show's stars afterwards. Through a plexiglass side to an aquarium, Marble performed a special greeting for the canine visitor.
Conrad had recently undergone radiation therapy for a rare type of bone cancer. Now, he is back to his full-time job walking the halls at M.D. Anderson. His face shows the scars of the treatment, something he now has in common with the patients he visits and comforts, people who are in the midst of their own battles with cancer.
