New Orleans, La - Remote operating vehicles will be mobilized this Sunday to examine the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico.

It's part of a joint plan from BP and Transocean to identify the source of a sheen found last month near the site of the BP oil spill.

Crews will use remotely operating vehicles to check the well, the wreckage, debris and the riser on the sea floor.

BP and Transocean might be responsible for costs related to indentifying the source of the new sheen and cleanup.

Results from the examination could come as early as next week.
