Updated:

Cut Off, La.- The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons who stole several hundred gallons of diesel fuel and other items from a Cut Off business.

It happened on Tuesday when deputies were called to a business on East 40th Street about a possible burglary of a business.

Deputies learned that a large amount of diesel had been spilled around a tank at the rear of the business and there was also evidence of forced entry at a gate near the tank.

Investigators say approximately 1,400 gallons of diesel was reported missing along with an orange chainsaw and two 25-pound rolls of copper.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
