JPSO looks for suspects in stabbing, robbery of cab driver

FOX 8 News received this press release from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Monday evening:

JPSO robbery detectives need assistance in locating two men involved in an armed robbery on October 20, 2012 in the 1100 block of Whitney Avenue in Gretna.

The suspects summoned a cab at a West Bank business. The cab driver took them to the above address and that's where one of the men produced a firearm and demanded money from the cab driver.

The driver struggled with the armed man. The second suspect pulled a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim.

Both suspects fled after taking money from the victim. The suspects were captured on video surveillance at the business on the West Bank where they requested transportation.

Both suspects are described as black males.

One is light skinned beloved to be bi-racial (black and Hispanic). He is about 20 to 25 years of age, approximately 6'0", medium build. He also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck. The darker skinned suspect is described as being 15 to 20 years of age, about 5'5", heavy build with short dreadlocks.
