Man stabbed to death in N.O. East


NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Police say investigators and prosecutors believe that a fatal stabbing in New Orleans East was justifiable homicide.

It happened Wednesday morning in the 10900 block of Roger Drive.

According to a news release, a woman allegedly stabbed her husband in the leg after an argument turned physical. The 38-year-old man collapsed and died in the street as people tried to take him to a hospital about 8:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the man's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

They say the 38-year-old woman has not been arrested. The investigation is continuing, but police say the stabbing has been classified as justifiable homicide.
