Photo Courtesy: Houma Police Dept.Houma, La.- A tip from the U.S. Marshalls Violent Fugitive Task Force leads Houma Police to a man wanted for attempted murder in a Lafayette home invasion.
In early October the task force passed along information that Christopher Roosevelt Pierre Washington might be in the area
Investigators managed to track down Washington's vehicle and determined a home where the fugitive might be hiding.
Early Wednesday morning officers went to a residence on Columbus Street and found Washington sleeping in a back bedroom.
He was taken into custody without incident.
Washington was wanted for one count of attempted first degree murder.
