Kenner, La. - The low fare carrier, Frontier Airlines, will now offer new non-stop service from New Orleans to Trenton, New Jersey.
A news release from the airport notes this will be the 39th destination New Orleans travelers can access on the 10 carriers that operate out of Louis Armstrong International Airport.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu stated, "We continue to be encouraged by the confidence that our carriers have in the strength of the New Orleans market. This new service will provide more travel opportunities for tourists and residents alike."
Frontier's new twice weekly flights to Trenton begin February 1, 2013. Currently, the airline will take local travelers to Denver, Colorado and Kansas City, Missouri.
"This is another example of the ongoing work of the New Orleans Aviation Board and Mayor Landrieu's Administration to add new destinations to our great city that we are proud to call home."
2013 will also see another new airline offering service from New Orleans. Spirit Airlines will begin operations in January.
