Police searching for missing 16-year-old

New Orleans, La. - Officers are asking for the public's help in locating 16-year-old Alexis Cooper of New Orleans East. She was last seen on Saturday November 10th, around 1:30 a.m. at her residence in the 4900 block of Francisco Verrett Drive.

A release from the NOPD reads, "Alexis Cooper is described as an African-American female, brown complexion, thin build, gold afro style hair, 5'06", weighing approximately 130 pounds." The release continues to say, "Cooper was last seen wearing a turquoise top, black pants and turquoise all star tennis shoes."

She returned to her residence early Saturday morning to retrieve clothes and has not been seen since. Family members say she has left home in the past but believed she would return.

If you have any information on Alexis Cooper's whereabouts, you are urged to call New Orleans Police at 821-2222.
