Man found fatally wounded in Algiers home


New Orleans, La. - Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man after he was fatally wounded in his home in the 3500 block of Bacchus Drive.

Investigators say around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, the resident was startled by a knock on his bedroom window.

When the victim went to the window, he was shot once in the chest. Officers found the victim lying in the hallway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects or motives have been established. The victim's name is being withheld until family members can be notified.
