NOPD reports missing police officer located

UPDATE 10:35 P.M. NOV. 22 - NOPD sent the following brief statement to news media late Thursday night:

Officer Louis has been found alive and well in Baton Rouge. No further details are available at this time.


New Orleans, La - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating a missing New Orleans Police Department officer. Bryant Louis, 47, was last seen Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at his home in the 6300 block of Essex Court.

Police say that Louis has not been seen or hear from since Sunday and this behavior is uncharacteristic of him.

Louis is described as an African-American man, 5'8" tall weighing 200 pounds. He could be in the Baton Rouge area, driving a 2004 red Dodge Ram pickup. The vehicle's license plate number is W971803.
