New Orleans, La. - More than 43 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more between Wednesday and the Sunday after Thanksgiving. A lot of those travelers will be on the road.
Louisiana State Police troopers say they're already spotting problems.
Trooper Melissa Matey said, "since Friday, State Police have investigated over 13 fatal crashes already. We're seeing an increased number of motorists on the road and those motorists, a lot of them, we're finding are impaired."
State police urge holiday travelers to buckle up, drive sober and keep their frustrations in check.
