New Orleans, La. - A civil lawsuit that could have a major impact on the future of the Krewe of Zulu goes before a judge next week.

The lawsuit filed by a krewe member alleges Zulu President Naaman Stewart violated the club's bylaws when he raised members' dues.  It seeks a restraining order, prohibiting the club from using money garnered from members' dues.

A judge has denied the request for a restraining order. A hearing to hash out the issue between the two sides is set for November 29.

Stewart says his krewe's operations could be affected without the extra funding.
