Two escaped inmates back in custody; one remains on the loose

New Orleans, La. - The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office has captured two of the three inmates who escaped from Orleans Parish Prison Sunday night.

Investigators captured Reginald Batiste around 10am in the 4900 block of Dreaux St.

Batiste was originally booked April 24, 2012 on charges of possession of a firearm and distribution of crack cocaine.

OPSO investigators also arrested Domonique Battle around 10:38am in the 700 block of Majestic Street in Algiers. He was booked Nov. 24, 2012, on a charge of possession of marijuana, second offense.

Both inmates are currently in the custody of the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office. Batiste and Battle were each booked with one count of simple escape.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office has intensified its search for Michael Washington, a 5' 10", 175-pound African American male, born May 2, 1961. Washington was booked Jan. 11, 2012, on charges of possession of crack cocaine and a municipal attachment. He was being held on a bond of $7,500.
