Injured St. John deputy released from hospital


Laplace, La. - Wounded St. John Parish deputy Jason Triche will return home Monday after spending more than three months in the hospital.

Triche was shot on August 16th in an ambush style attack that took the lives of two of his fellow officers.

Residents are encouraged to gather along Belle Terre Blvd. and Airline Hwy (from Belle Terre Blvd. traveling east) Monday to welcome him home from the hospital.

The vehicle procession will take place between 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Travelers will experience temporary road closures at the stop lights on Belle Terre Blvd. and on Airline Hwy (starting at Belle Terre traveling east).
