Four people wounded in shootings in Irish Channel, Central City

New Orleans, La. -

Police are investigating three shootings in New Orleans Monday night that wounded at least four people.

The first happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 2300 block of St. Andrew Street in Central City.  NOPD reports a woman there was shot in the buttocks.

Then, around 8:30 p.m., there were two shootings, one in Central City and one in the Irish Channel.  A male victim was shot in the hand in the 2000 block of Second St.  And two people were wounded in a shooting at Washington Avenue and Annunciation Street, one to the head and chest and the other to the leg.  NOPD is trying to determine if these two incidents are related.

Investigators have yet to announce the identities of the victims and there is no word yet on potential suspects.
