Imposter forces his way into Algiers home

New Orleans, La.- Police say a man who posed as a government contractor forced his way into a woman's home in Algiers Monday morning.

Investigators say the man knocked on the woman's door on Casa Calvo Street and claimed to be a contractor cutting trees in the neighborhood.

The woman allowed the man into her back yard to look at some fallen trees.

As the victim opened her side door, investigators say the man forced his way inside, grabbed the victim and locked her in a bedroom.

They say he rummaged through her belongings but left without taking anything.
