Slidell, La.-The St. Tammany Fire District No.1 responded to a residential fire at 37023 15th Street in Slidell just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered a mobile home with flames and smoke coming from the residence.
Investigators say it appears the fire started in the laundry room of the mobile home causing heavy fire damage to over half of the mobile home.
Officials say the mobile home had been vacant for the past few months.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
No injuries were reported.
