Drew Brees gets companies pumped for service

New Orleans, La.- Drew Brees is quarterbacking an initiative this holiday season that will get businesses in the game of giving. It is called the Super Service Challenge. Companies roll up their sleeves for New Orleans area charities of their choice and in the end their work could win big bucks for the causes.

Employees of a fortune 500  pharmaceutical company has signed on at Second Harvest Food Bank.

Fifteen Lilly volunteers sort through food packages, tossing what's bad and boxing what's good. They hope their passion and efforts win money for the charity.

"What we've done is we've partnered with the Brees Dream Foundation to give away a million dollars to charities in New Orleans," said Mitch Davis of the national group Companies with a Mission.

They got one in front man Drew Brees.

"They go out and spend half a day serving, they put a little video on the phone, and go back and enter the contest," said Davis. He says up to $25,000 dollars is up for grabs for each charity if they impress Brees and other celebrity judges with the pictures and videos.

Since October employees of corporations have filmed or photographed their work at schools, parks, playgrounds and shelters.

The deadline to submit a team challenge is January 7th.
