New Orleans, La. - If you've logged on to any social media sites recently, you may have noticed speculation of a possible name change for the New Orleans Hornets.
Some reports suggest the Hornets will be renamed the New Orleans Pelicans, though the team will not confirm this.
If Hornets owners Tom and Gayle Benson decide to change the name, the NBA Board of Governors would have to sign off on it.
Just last week, Mrs. Benson announced the team's new colors will be navy, gold, and red, but the NBA has the final say on the colors as well.
