NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police are investigating a fatal
hit and run accident involving a man on a bicycle.
The accident happened around 5:50
a.m. Thursday.
Police say a 58-year-old man was
attempting to cross General De
Gaulle Drive when his bike was struck by an
unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at
the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will
conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
